Nobody Won
 
The minute I stared into your eyes
Maybe I should have realized.
Realized that what I seen
probably should not have been.
For no matter how hard we tried
even the strongest heart lied.
A lie that said love
unfortunately push came to shove.
We both said a lot of things
that felt like a million scorpion stings.
Some of which forgiveness is far
but let's face it we we're not up to par.
A reason of two broken hearts
wanting completely new starts.
Fortunately from this range
a few things I would change.
Like the excessive drinking
every time feelings were shrinking.
Then there was the other thing
you were afraid would steal my being.
After all is said and done
I figure nobody won.
